De Courcey Restaurant

Taking its name from the de Courcey family who you can read of in the history section and on the sample menu, our five-star a la carte restaurant, with magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and Lighthouse, provides spectacular culinary delights bearing testament to the skills of our team of in-house chefs.

Dine on lobster, scallops or oysters from the tank, freshly caught fish, poultry, game, and the finest cuts of meat with our extensive wine list chosen from the Old and New Worlds’ Vineyards.

Lusitania Bar

Taking its name from and in displaying original artefacts paying homage to the ship of the same name.

Within the Lusitania bar area you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast, lunch and early evening food in an informal environment or enjoy a pint of the best.

We offer a fabulous range of cask ales, local craft beers and lagers, alongside a wide selection of fine wines, champagnes and a highly comprehensive range of international spirits. Our bar team will be only too happy to skilfully create a cocktail of your choice or else simply “prepare” the most memorable pint of Guinness that you could wish to enjoy in Ireland. The choice is endless and is yours.

The Terrace

For the ultimate in outdoor al fresco dining, pre or aprés golf, overlooking the Old Head Lighthouse and Atlantic Ocean. The Terrace is quite simply unsurpassed in its ability to create the most memorable dining experience anywhere.

Our attentive team will be on hand with their impeccable service as you gaze over the course to the Old Head lighthouse and beyond to the Atlantic Ocean, the scent of the beautiful flora and surf around you.

On Course Dining

Enjoy our on-course dining service at The Turn with specialties "to go", or enjoy a break before you set out on the back nine.

The Food Cart is also ever attentive throughout your round of golf to provide beverages and light snacks.

The Team

The kitchen is a very exciting and dynamic place for us at Old Head. It is run by a team of 6 expert chefs who are forever creating, nurturing and evolving, pushing the boundaries of their culinary expertise to the delight of the discerning diner.

Often to be found early morning visiting the local harbour to ensure the catch of the day is destined for Old Head the chefs also have an excellent relationship with the local farmers, farmer's markets and butchers in line with Old Head's locally sourced field- and ocean- to-fork philosophy.

The restaurant is overseen by our restaurant manager Jackie Mutter. She and her team of superbly passionate front-of-house staff and sommeliers strive to give a service we think of as relaxed and natural professionalism.
